Beautiful Woman Reading Thick Fantasy Novel
Wednesday June 25, 2008 at 4:30 pmIt was a bit after six pm I believe on the uptown 6.
I'm usually lost in a podcast or my thoughts but I noticed this stunning, beautifully dressed blond woman sitting across from me.
I'm 6'2 and I was wearing a tan suit with blue shirt and tan/blue tie and leaning against the door, opposite you.
I was already intrigued because you were so absolutely my style but I couldn't believe it when you topped things off by pulling a giant fantasy novel out of your bag. I believe it was Terry Goodkind (I think I know the title but you can tell me).
You see, I'm a bit of a geek, though it doesn't show, and I'm pretty into reading fantasy/sci-fi novels (though I've only read the first book in the series you're reading).
This is going to sound like a stereotype/generalization but I've never seen a woman on the subway in Manhattan reading a fantasy novel (not counting Harry Potter)...let alone a beautiful woman.
I couldn't believe I'd found the perfect woman and I was hoping you would get off at 77th so we could chat but you stayed on. Oh well...such is life...thought I would take a shot in the dark here :)
P.S. I'm not a total geek...normal, nice guy here!
